OTTAWA — The new Hard Rock Casino set to be built at Rideau Carleton Raceway will have to abide by city-imposed limit on gambling capacity.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming has selected Hard Rock International, after a multi-year search for an experienced company to operate an expanded gaming facility at the racetrack.
Once opened, the Hard Rock Casino would have to abide by the current rules imposed by the city, that restricts the number of slot machines and gaming tables.
The city limit is 1,250 slot machines and 21 gaming tables.
According to the Citizen, Hard Rock Casino Group Chairman Jim Allen has not indicated whether or not there will be an immediate challenge to the restrictions.
