Aerial search underway for missing Alfred-Plantagenet man

ALFRED-PLANTAGENET, Ont. — OPP are searching on the ground and from the air for a missing elderly man, east of Ottawa.

Gary Foster, 78, was last seen Tuesday afternoon while walking along County Road 2, west of the village of Curran. Before that, he was seen getting a lift from someone in a beige pickup truck near his home, on Concession Road 9.

Foster is described as:

  • roughly 5’9″
  • weighing between 200 and 225 lbs.

 

Foster was last seen wearing a red Massey Ferguson ball cap, a tank top, red shorts with an orange pinstripe on both sides, black socks, but that he was not wearing any shoes.

Police want to speak with the driver of the truck that picked up Foster, or anyone else who has information on his whereabouts.
