GATINEAU – An overnight fire in Gatineau has left 10 people without a place to stay.
Shortly after midnight, firefighters were called to 61 Rue Charpentier, and arrived to find a raging fire on a back balcony, and in the roof of the home.
The fire was under control by 1:30 a.m.
Two people suffered minor smoke inhalation and were taken to hospital as a preventative measure before being released.
Damage is pegged around $150,000 and the Red Cross is responding to help the victims.
