OTTAWA — Abandoned umbrellas and forgotten knapsacks will be auctioned off this weekend, for charity.
Items left on OC Transpo and not claimed by their original owners go up for sale each spring and fall, at Heartwood House. Funds raised by the sale go toward the charity’s operating costs.
Unclaimed items are sold for between 25 cents and $5, with the more valuable items — like electronics — sold by silent auction.
The sale runs from noon until 2 p.m., Saturday, at Heartwood House on McArthur Avenue.
