OTTAWA – Overdose Prevention has closed its supervised injection site on St. Patrick Street.
The site, which had been open since August 25 in Raphael Brunet Park, closed earlier than planned.
The decision to close early came as the weather turned poor and as a sanctioned injection site opened in a trailer at the nearby Shepherds of Good Hope.
Overdose Prevention Ottawa says there were more than 3,500 visits by users to the pop-up site, including 57 visits, Thursday night.
