GATINEAU – Police in Gatineau have charged a social worker with sexual assault and sexual interference.
According to the CBC, police opened an investigation into the 52-year-old man in early September, after a 14 and 18-year-old came forward with allegations.
The accused has not been named to protect the identity of one of the complainants.
The worker was employed by the youth services branch of Outaouais Public Health until he was fired on October 8.
He is scheduled to appear in a Quebec courtroom on November 22.
