Police seek suspects in violent, armed home invasion

OTTAWA – Police are looking for two men in connection with an armed home invasion in the south end of the city.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, two suspects, one armed with a handgun, forced their way inside a home in the 100 block of Kemp Drive.

One suspect restrained the man while the second suspect searched the home, and police say the victim was also struck in the face with the handgun several times, suffering minor injuries.

It’s believed the suspects made off with two pieces of jewellery, and police say it’s unclear if the robbery was targeted.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect one:

-possibly of Chinese or Vietnamese descent
-long face
-clean shaven
-approximately 5′ 5″ tall
-medium build
-wearing a winter tuque & light-coloured winter jacket

Suspect two:

-unknown race
-face fully covered with a balaclava
-6’0″ tall
-skinny build
