OTTAWA – The accusations weren’t enough to stop the fans.
Hedley played to a sold out crowd at TD Place in Ottawa Tuesday night, despite dealing with recent allegations of sexual misconduct.
TD Place had actually offered full refunds to fans who no longer wanted to attend the show, but according to Postmedia, the venue sold a number of tickets after the allegations surfaced.
The Vancouver pop-rockers were dropped by their management team and blacklisted by scores of radio stations, last week, in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations on social media.
Hedley has removed itself from consideration for any JUNO awards this year, but the band is continuing with its cross-country “Cageless” tour.
The controversy wasn’t addressed or acknowledged by the band during the show, their second performance since the allegations surfaced.
