Government spent over $600,000 in alchohol over 4 years: report

A new report said taxpayers footed the bill for more than 620,000 dollars in booze over the past four years.

But 27 departments and agencies couldn't account for any of their spending on alcohol since 2006.

The largest spending came from national defence, where almost half a million dollars was spent on alcohol in the past four years.

Ottawans told 1310News that they were less than impressed with the new information, but weren't necessarily surprised.
