KEMPTVILLE, Ont. – A Kemptville animal sanctuary is asking you to help them take care of more animals.
Big Sky Ranch is a no-kill sanctuary that takes in unwanted, abandoned and abused animals. The shelter has recently seen an increase in demand to take in animals, but have no more room.
They’re hoping to build an extension on the farm, but with no government funding, they need to reach out to the public for help.
“Ever since the ranch started in 2002, it’s been all about volunteer spirit and people giving back,” said Big Sky volunteer Francine Sakalauskas. ” We do want to keep doing what we’re doing, and the demand is always there to take in those animals that need a home.
