GATINEAU – Five people, four men and one woman, face charges connected to a series of drug raids in Buckingham Wednesday night by Gatineau Police.

Officers with the gangs unit, the drugs section and the canine unit were involved in searches of four homes, where officers recovered weed, marijuana plants, opiod prescription pills, crack, fentanyl patches, meth, powdered hydromorphone, and over $1,300 in cash.

Police made six arrests — one woman was released without charge.

Charges against the remaining suspects include trafficking, possession, production, and proceeds of crime.
