MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The Special Investigations Unit has charged a Kemptville OPP officer with assault related to an arrest last fall.
In a release, the SIU said officers responded to a call at a home in North Grenville on November 14, 2016.
Police took a statement from a 53-year-old woman and left, then returned a short time later.
According to the SIU, there was then an interaction between the officers and the woman.
She was arrested.
Constable Thomas Hogbin, 36, is charged with one count of assault.
He’s set to appear in Brockville court on March 10, 2017.
