OTTAWA – One teen remains in hospital with serious injuries after a police chase in the south end Wednesday evening.
According to the Special Investigations Unit, officers with the Ottawa Police Service were conducting radar on Hunt Club Road that night.
Around 6:30 p.m., officers stopped a speeding vehicle, and after a brief stop, the driver fled the scene.
A police chase ensued, and in the area of Pike Street and Maple Park Private, the vehicle rolled.
According to the SIU, the driver and one passenger fled the scene, while a third passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Three SIU investigators have been assigned to the case.
