Brrr! Cold stretch forecast for Ottawa

OTTAWA – Get your warm jackets out — a cold stretch of weather is forecast for the nation’s capital.

According to 1310 NEWS meteorologist Jill Taylor, the temperature will drop to about 5 C Monday afternoon and will likely be below average for the next two weeks.

The overnight lows for this week are also forecast below average. The temperature could dip as low at minus 9 C overnight Friday.

Looking ahead to Remembrance Day on Saturday, the high only expected to reach zero.

The average high for this time of year is around 7 degrees, the average low is 0.
