A man wanted on an outstanding national warrant in connection with a major drug operation with mob connections was picked up Monday night by Gatineau Police.
Officers were responding to calls about a suspicious person in the area of Boulevard Saint-Raymond and Cite-Des-Jeunes.
Police arrested 65-year old Norman Max Rosenblum.
Rosenblum was sought on charges related to the importation of over 550-kilograms of cocaine in the 1990’s. Police allege the operation was linked to Vito Rizzuto and Frank Cotroni who are two notorious Montreal mob bosses.
Gatineau Police report Rosenblum remains in custody and will be turned over to federal authorities.
