TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The founder of Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls and the lead singer of the country music band Alabama are being honoured by the University of Alabama’s business school.
The Tuscaloosa News reports Culverhouse College of Business is inducting seven people including Patricia “Sister Schubert” Barnes of Andalusia and Alabama vocalist Randy Owen of Fort Payne into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame.
They will be honoured at a ceremony in Birmingham on Nov. 15.
The other inductees are Jeffrey Bayer, Don James, and Charles McCrary — all of Birmingham — and James Pursell of Fayetteville.
John Rhoads of Birmingham will be posthumously honoured.
The Hall of Fame was founded in 1973 to honour individuals in business who have brought lasting fame to Alabama.
