An Evening with Steven Wilson @ Theatre du Casino du Lac Leamy
Jun 30 @ 08:00:00 PM – 11:30:00 PM

f-26-11-8834443_CBbu0cAs_Steven_Wilson_photoFor over 20 years the prolific and versatile Steven Wilson has been off the beaten track of rock music, but still a huge part of it! Guitarist, keyboardist, composer and sound engineer; Steven first became known with his Porcupine Tree group in the early 90s. Porcupine Tree produced ten studio albums. The first Porcupine Tree albums were very Pink Floydien in nature, but with the release of “In Absentia” in 2002, the group took on a much heavier and new sound.

His collaborations include the metal band Opeth Mikael Akerfeldtm, his experimental project Bass Communion, and the amazing Blackfield with Aviv Geffen. Not to mention a huge array of tremendous solo projects, a vast array of sideline work with and for such big name artists as Jethro Tull, King Crimson and Alan Parsons, and the very recent release of the groundbreaking “Hand Cannot Erase” and Steven Wilson has a rock and roll pedigree rivaled by very few.

Wilson will begin the North American leg of his tour on May 21st; a tour that will bring him to Theatre du Casino du Lac Leamy on June 30th! This will be Steven Wilson’s first visit to Gatineau and it’s a show definitely NOT to be missed! Get your tickets today

About the Race:

As many of you know The Give 2 Live campaign was partnered with DeFrancos Lung run since we started in 2013. We were saddened to hear that the campaign is now coming to an end and the Toronto General Hospital has decided to go in another direction. Hélène is taking this opportunity to do things that she has wanted to do for some time now, she wants to travel and continue her education, we could not be happier for her!

We cannot say enough about Hélène’s ongoing ability to bring joy to everyone that she comes in contact with. She has been such an inspiration and the reason that we started the DeFrancos lung run in the first place. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you have truly changed our lives and for that we are forever grateful! Continue to fill people with happiness, and go fulfill your dreams! We hope to see you at this year’s run!
We are so excited to share with you the news of our new partners; The Lung Association. In our search for a new partner we knew that we wanted to continue supporting families with respiratory and lung issues. When we met with Melanie and Chantal from The Lung Association there was an instant connection, both sides were beyond excited for this new chapter. We can’t wait to continue this relationship for many years to come.

We are excited for our 4th annual DeFrancos Lung Run and can’t wait to see you all there!
