For over 20 years the prolific and versatile Steven Wilson has been off the beaten track of rock music, but still a huge part of it! Guitarist, keyboardist, composer and sound engineer; Steven first became known with his Porcupine Tree group in the early 90s. Porcupine Tree produced ten studio albums. The first Porcupine Tree albums were very Pink Floydien in nature, but with the release of “In Absentia” in 2002, the group took on a much heavier and new sound.
His collaborations include the metal band Opeth Mikael Akerfeldtm, his experimental project Bass Communion, and the amazing Blackfield with Aviv Geffen. Not to mention a huge array of tremendous solo projects, a vast array of sideline work with and for such big name artists as Jethro Tull, King Crimson and Alan Parsons, and the very recent release of the groundbreaking “Hand Cannot Erase” and Steven Wilson has a rock and roll pedigree rivaled by very few.
Wilson will begin the North American leg of his tour on May 21st; a tour that will bring him to Theatre du Casino du Lac Leamy on June 30th! This will be Steven Wilson’s first visit to Gatineau and it’s a show definitely NOT to be missed! Get your tickets today
