Elementary teachers with the Upper Canada District School Board will stage a one-day walkout on Thursday. Schools will remain open.  

Elementary teachers with the Thames Valley school board will also stage a one-day walkout. The board covers Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford counties and includes London, Woodstock and St. Thomas.

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario says teachers in the Bluewater, Algoma, Halton school boards will be off the job Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the strikes will move to Toronto and seven other boards.
Walkouts are taking place place Monday in the Hamilton area and three school boards in northern Ontario.
It’s part of the protest against Bill 115, which allows the government to stop strikes, freeze wages and cut benefits for Ontario’s teachers.
