Four more victims of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting — three children and one teacher — will be laid to rest, Wednesday.

Caroline Previdi and Charlotte Bacon, both six years old, Daniel Barden, 7, and teacher Vicky Soto, 27, were among the 26 killed in the shooting spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School last Friday.

Soto has been praised as a hero for sacrificing herself to save several students in one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history.

Police allege Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother to death in bed before rampaging through the school, killing 20 children ages six and seven.

Meanwhile, Fox News reported Lanza may have snapped because his mother was planning to commit him to a psychiatric facility.

The news agency quoted a young U.S. marine and long-time resident of the Newtown area.

Nancy Lanza volunteered at Sandy Hook Elementary School with young children, and there’s speculation that’s why her son, Adam, targeted the classrooms he did.

The New York Post reported Adam lived in his mother’s windowless basement and played hours of violent video games, his favourite being “Call of Duty.”

The Hartford Current reported police didn’t find any prescription psychiatric drugs in the Lanza house.

It also reported that the medical examiner has asked a geneticist to come in and try to figure out if there is some kind of genetic trait that caused Lanza to go on shooting spree.
