CHEO confirms four cases of Enterovirus in Ottawa

OTTAWA — The Childrens’ Hospital of Eastern Ontario confirms that four children have been diagnosed with Enterovirus D68 in Ottawa.
The respiratory illness can cause fever, runny nose and cough, and in severe cases wheezing and serious difficulty breathing.
It mainly affects asthmatic children, and children under the age of five.
